The leading cause of your equipment not running is its age.  According to maintenance managers and plant leaders, preventive maintenance is their top way to assure a safe and productive operation.

The 2019 survey of maintenance professionals in process, discrete and hybrid industries by Advanced Technology Services (ATS) also found the key challenge, by a margin of 10%, was a lack of resources or staff. 38% responded that their greatest challenge was a lack of understanding of new options/technologies.

The results, according to ATS CEO Jeff Owens, speak to the need for trained individuals.
